Happy Belated Valentines day, everyone! Or as they would say in places such as Costa Rica and/or Mexico, Día del Amor y la Amistad! It is roughly translated to “day of love and friendship”! I definitely prefer that over the other version they use, which is Día de los Enamorados (translated as the Day of Lovers). No real particular reason. None whatsoever!
That aside, I have written about love once before and I believe most of my beliefs still hold true. While I may not have ever been romantically in love with someone before, the love I know well is what is known as Philia love, or the kind of love that is formed from bonds with friends.
Ignoring the fact that particular word is no doubt bound to remind people of an infamous type of love, Philia is something I think many don’t give enough credit to. I would hazard to say that it was this form of “love” that has helped me grow as a person more than anything else. I can never thank those friends enough for helping me be the person who I am today. If it were not for their insight, harsh criticisms (that I rightfully deserved), and guidance, I sincerely doubt I would be the Balance I am today, writing this post. If that’s not love, then I would hardly consider anything else love.
Anyway, I hope everyone’s week has been going great! It snowed a lot a couple days ago and it’s just now melting away today. I’m glad I work from home so I don’t have to worry about being snowed in! Plus the apartment was well stocked in groceries leaving me with very little to worry about.
I started streaming a bit more often recently. Last Saturday, I spent what felt like the entire day doing the entire photography process: setting up the lights, setting up the photos, setting up the props, setting up the nendoroids, cleaning up the nendoroids, cleaning up the props, cleaning up the lighting, and then editing the photos! It was surprisingly a little tiring at the end, but it felt nice being able to stream the process with people to hang out with me along the way.
I’ll see you guys next week! Hopefully it will start to get warmer from here on out ahaha…
